COVID Vaccine Update – Spring 2025

Hello from Birley Health Centre!
Just a quick update – we will not be offering COVID vaccinations at our centre this year. But don’t worry, here’s how you can book your Spring COVID-19 booster if you’re eligible:
The COVID-19 Spring booster vaccines are now available to book online for eligible individuals. You’ll receive a notification via text, email, NHS App, or letter, but if you think you’re eligible, you can go ahead and book your appointment even before you receive it.
To check your eligibility or to book your vaccine, you can visit the NHS website, use the NHS App, or simply call 119.
In addition to pre-booked appointments, there will also be walk-in slots available every day. You can find a list of local locations using the NHS Walk-in Finder.
You can get the COVID-19 vaccine if you:
-Are 75 or over (including those who will turn 75 by 17th June 2025)
-Are between 6 months and 74 years old and have a weakened immune system due to a health condition or treatment
-Live in a care home for older adults
If you’re unsure whether your health condition qualifies you for the vaccine, you can find more information and a detailed list of conditions, treatments, and medications that might affect your immune system here: https://www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/covid-19-vaccine/
Stay safe and take care!
